EAST SIDE GALLERY

PIER 61 - 64 -THE THROBBING PULSE OF THE SPREE

Along its entire length, this geometrically uniform nine-storey building looks out over the Spree. The location on the river bank, adjacent to the East Side Gallery and the East Side Park, has significantly influenced the architecture.

PIER 61-64 is a striking building with a mixed use of hotel, rental housing and restaurants/cafes that has been sited in a prominent location.
Extensively glazed facades, terraces and balconies offer unique views of the water at any time of day and in every season.
The 75 rental flats designed by Eller + EllerArchitekten are stylish and timeless in equal measure.
The well thought-out floor plans of the single & family flats are just as convincing as the prestigious penthouse flats.
Floor-to-ceiling panorama windows and high concrete ceilings contrast with the industrial-style surfaces.

The newly created riverside promenade, which is open to the general public, was an important consideration for everyone involved in the project. It is intended to provide a place where people from the neighbourhood and visitors to the East Side Gallery can spend quality time, just as they might on a real pier. The project is being realised in partnership with TROCKLAND.
